Something happened, and a source can be named. - Signal: An event that may matter beyond itself: a shift in behaviour, cost, rule, or expectation. - Pattern: Related signals showing up in more than one place, sector, or moment. Correspondence, not a conclusion. - Trend: A pattern consistent enough to describe a direction of change. A description of what is happening, not a forecast of what must. - Implication: A conditional reading of what the trend could change, and for whom. Open to being wrong. Responome separates evidence from interpretation. Our intelligence is built from traceable primary and credible industry sources, with observations assessed across markets and over time. We distinguish confirmed facts, emerging signals, structural trends and analytical hypotheses, and do not treat correlation as causation. Where evidence is incomplete or uncertain, we state the limitation explicitly. ## Categories - [Consumer](https://www.responome.com/categories/consumer): Published category. - [Macro](https://www.responome.com/categories/macro): Published category. - [Retail](https://www.responome.com/categories/retail): Published category. ## Published intelligence - [Signal Before Narrative: What Is Changing in the Consumer Economy](https://www.responome.com/intelligence/signal-before-narrative-what-is-changing-in-the-consumer-economy): Consumer spending is becoming more fragmented.
